Why perfection is over rated. For me I have never been somebody that is trying to make things perfect I don’t want to have the perfect world, I don’t want to have the perfect bank balance I don’t want to have the perfect life the perfect car the perfect business I don’t want to have the perfect thing. And the reason why I don’t want to have the perfect thing is because to achieve that requires far too much of a laser focus which is detrimental to the progress of the project overall.

If you can ensure that your project is 95% complete then you will be someone that will be in a far better position than that one person that spends almost all of that energy and all of their resources and making their project 100% good. When it comes to things in life when it comes to things that you can’t change – You can waste a hell of a lot of time trying to get things perfect. You can waste a hell of a lot of time trying to make things 100% whereas you can take the approach of doing multiple things 95% as opposed to 100% of 1.

I would much rather spend half of the time that you do and get in life and do things 95% on the button.

You know why? Because when I’m getting things 95% on the button I am moving on to something else get that 95% to moving on to something else get that 95% I’m continuing to do so all while you’re trying to get a measly extra 5% and spending twice 3×4 times amount of time that I am doing. And that realistically is how life works you can spend all your time waiting for the perfect moment the perfect thing the perfect action and never take action – Or you can take action get things right move onto the next one and so on and so forth. I much rather know how I would operate I much rather know which we have to ignore and I know that my time is precious I know that I don’t have a hell of a lot of time on this earth and because of that I strive for progress. I strive for making things great but I don’t ever strive for perfection.

Perfection is overrated
