Here’s a quick heads up.

A few years ago I could never have thought this way. I was ALWAYS trying to please absolutely everyone and if there was 1 person that didn’t like me. It would crush me.

Nowadays – It’s a bit different.

As I’ve got older I’ve realised that you don’t need everybody to like you.

We are all different as individuals, we have different opinions, different viewpoints and different mindsets.

And it’s okay to have all of them.

We cannot all be the same in this world and nor should we.

There are things that I may say, do or believe that you don’t like and vice versa… And that’s okay.

I believe that if you truly try and please everyone then you’re setting yourself up for failure.

You’ll be forced to censor yourself, you’ll be forced to hide who you really are, not put your viewpoints out there and ultimately you’ll actually be detrimental for your legacy rather than beneficial.

This is one of the reasons why I love old people.

If you get around someone 80+ years old – They don’t give a damn what you think of their opinions. They’ve lived too long and seen too many people come and go for you to sway their viewpoints and opinions on something. And I respect that.

They are being real and there’s something wonderful in that.

Whether you think it’s right or wrong, there’s something wonderful in being authentic and real.

If we always held back because we were scared of other peoples opinions, we would never get anything done – As a civilisation!

Yet – There are still too many people worried of what others may think.

Maybe it’s just an age thing and as you get older you tend to bother less.

Regardless of what it may be – The importance is.. Live YOUR life truthfully.

There will be some that like you and some that don’t. But trust me.. You will never be alone in your thought process.

Be polarising,

Andrew
