The 13 update – unlucky for some but definitely not for us !
Mark is now down to 14st 12lbs from originally starting at 17st 2lbs !

He has now dropped down to a large in t-shirt size and his physique is right on track.

Not only that, his cardio vascular health is insane now compared to what it was when this began in July. His last run that he carried out was 6.9 KM. From going to pretty much 7KM from not being able to run pretty much at all 4-5 months ago is a big achievement. And now with visions of doing a 7KM race in Oz in 5 weeks time and a 10KM race late on next year both of those goals are now firmly in sight and will be smashed upon competing.

The routine I have switched him up now is 3 days weight training and 3 days strictly cardio in prep for this race.

Day 1 – Chest and Shoulders

Day 2 – Back and Arms

Day 3 – Legs

Day 4 – Rest

Day 5 – Cardio

Day 6 – Cardio

Day 7 – Cardio

This regime is enabling him to still build good quality muscle, lose body fat and build up his fitness and endurance.

For a while, there was a sticking point in his weight loss as he was hovering around the 15st 2lbs mark with the current diet he was on. Mark was kept on this diet to take his body out of the zone of low carbs, let it stay there for a bit giving it enough time to endure a shock once the diet was again changed and would kick start the metabolic furnace once again. Mark noted significant energy increase and strength increase through this period.

Now with the change in diet back down to a low carbohydrate level the weight is literally falling off him. With good ambition in mind, he will be around 14st 5lbs once he hits Australia.

Things are going great and we will keep you all up to date with the progress and changes as they come.
Keep on killin’ it !
