If there’s one thing I’ve realised during this Lockdown – It’s that I cannot just stop.

I NEED to create.

I need to do things – move forward, progress, get better and ultimately be a means of production.

Now I don’t know if that’s just something that’s wired into us as humans, similar to the way it is with honey bees.

But I know for one thing – We need to achieve things in order to feel alive.

One of my favourite quotes in life is this –

“I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle – victorious.” ”

I truly do believe that.

With the current situation we are in throughout this Lockdown, Businesses are closed – People are staying at home and 25% of the nations workforce has been placed onto Furlough due to their industries being closed and not being able to work.

It is driving me crazy.

I would HATE to be someone who is born into money and never has to work a day in their lives.

Where is the fulfillment in that? Life and human fulfillment is never about money. It’s about creating, being a part of the gears of society and doing things that provide value.

If you’re given free money – there’s no value in that. If you’re someone who is working extremely hard and providing value and output and your paid, you feel a sense of achievement.

If you’re eating junk food all the time, there’s no joy. BUT – if you workout like crazy for a while and you’re dieting and eating well for a period of time THEN have that junk food as a treat – It’s far more rewarding and fulfilling.

You see the parralels?

I remember as a kid I would always think – How great would it be if money grew on trees and we got free money!

But now as an adult – I understand how important it is for us to work, create, produce and give value to the rest of the world.

We are only here for a short period of time.

My goal is to produce as much output, value and worth as I possibly can to the world.

And lockdown has really cemented that theory to me.

Do you not feel the same?
